Guide: Welcome everyone! The Tower of London was built in 1078 by William the Conqueror. It is located on the north bank of the River Thames. For hundreds of years it was used as a royal palace, but also as a prison. Today over three million visitors come every year. Opening times: Tuesday to Saturday 9:00–17:30, Sunday and Monday 10:00–17:30. An adult ticket costs twenty-eight pounds fifty, and children under fifteen pay seventeen pounds.
